It is 'Very Poor' reporting by Rolex & Channel 7 and their inability to broadcast to normal TV the finishing moments of the Sydney to Hobart Yacht Race. Whilst the 90 minute broadcast of the beginning of the race (to the whole world) was excellent to see, Channel 7 did not cover the end of the race on Sydney TV, rather showing kids cartoons in place.

As for Rolex, no provisions had been made for live video stream of Race Finish.

Common Channel 7.... Your executives need a swift slap in the face with the reality stick. You Failed to show the most important part of a World Class Event - the finishing of the 2008 Sydney to Hobart Yacht Race.

Their is no excuse!!! The race finished at approx. 10am in 'daylight hours' and you didnt broadcast it to TV, albeit Sydney Viewers or the home start of the race.

BAD BAD BAD!!!!

Tas, thank you so much for posting this response. I (BoatBites) is unaffiliated with Channel 7 or Rolex. I am terribly disappointed to hear this news, it was such a novelty for my family and I to watch the streaming video here in the states on our Christmas holiday (us Americans being behind the times and all!,) never guessed it was not the same everywhere.

Hope some folks are reading and help pass this feedback onto those in places of power for positive change!

Thank you for sharing Tas!
